Parent Action leads to Student Impact
At Met Cares, we are committed to parent-led change. We believe that when families are supported to turn their ideas into action, communities thrive.
Grounded in Ella Baker’s belief that “strong people don’t need strong leaders,” our work is rooted in collective power and shared leadership.

By lifting up community stories and investing in parent leadership, we create pathways for bold, community-driven solutions that lead to lasting impact together.

Youth Workforce Initiative
Hometown Collective, a youth workforce development initiative from the Met Cares Foundation, exists to cultivate leadership in North Tulsa students by placing them in 8-week summer internships to gain personal and professional skills, as well as a greater pride for their community.
